Big stonefly nymph patterns such as the Pats Rubber Legs. Double Bead Peacock Stonefly nymphs.  Halfback nymphs have been producing nice fish in off color water. We have been pulling fish off the banks with our custom articulated streamers.  Natural, white, and brown/yellow are best colors.

However, if you’re planning a vacation during May.  We got you covered! The North Platte tail waters. Miracle Mile and Grey Reef are running clear. Fortunately, both of these blue ribbon trout fisheries are not affected by run off. Miracle Mile is currently flowing at 2700 cfs and is perfect for float trips.

We  have the correct custom flies that you wont find in any fly shop. Check out our online fly store here:https://highplainsflyfishing.com/shop/ Please feel free to call us anytime for current fishing conditions  at 307-399-9464.

Miracle Mile Wyoming Fishing Report

Miracle Mile Fishing Report-Great day on Friday, March 30th with our family dentist float fishing Miracle Mile. Pre-spawn rainbows are stacking up, and fishing is off the hook! We threw big articulated streamers and landed a few monster browns. Two fly nymph rigs were also productive with scuds, leeches, and midges. Bugs to drift are size 20 juju baetis, brown and red wd40’s,pink squirmy worms, and egg patterns. Brown,Black, and Natural Hot head leech and Pine Squirrel Leeches. Size 16 pink, tan, olive flash back scuds. Articulated streamers in the white, natural, and olive variations are the ticket!
Flows from Kortes dam were around 2800cfs. Float fishing is hands down the best way to reach deep holes where big fish are holding, and the ability to fish every good run on the entire stretch down to Pathfinder.
