Fall fishing at the Miracle Mile has been fair to good during October/November. Many trophy size rainbows and especially brown trout, have graced the nets of anglers. Colder water and air temperatures have improved the bite significantly. Fish are aggressive and fighting hard. Nymph fishing with two fly rigs and swinging big streamers has been the ticket. Mid day Blue Wing Olive and Midge hatches have been heavy producing pods of fish rising.

Fall brown trout spawn
While it is an awesome spectacle to see 25-30 inch browns spawned up below the dam this time of year, we encourage anglers to NOT target or sight fish to spawning brown trout on their beds. Out of respect for one of the best trout fisheries in the world, please practice steward of the land techniques and always catch and release. Its simply not worth it.
